STORYTELLING OF SPOOF TEXT FOR THE ELEVENTH GRADERS: ADVANCING THE BEGINNER SPEAKER

Speaking is one of the problematic aspects language learning for teacher to help them more actively engaged during teaching-learning process. However, studies show that choosing right teaching strategy and media can overcome student’s speaking difficulties. One strategies chosen in this research spoof text storytelling. This study aims describe how storytelling improve students’ achievement skill eleventh-graders. The method used classroom action following Kemmis & Taggart’s model with procedures planning, acting, observing, reflecting. was carried out two cycles. Each cycle consisted meetings, result showed significant improvement active participation fluency speech. Most students obtained higher scores at end cycle. It proves use students’s skill. finding implies need English teacher's creativity support student's by using interesting materials
